Since then, I have acquired enough CBD (plus the correct acronym) to open my own dispensary in my search for the perfect combination of flowers, hemps, oils, TCP, CBD, CBN, yada, yada, yada. And I thought it was going to be like buying a pack of chewing gum.
To save the uninitiated the heartbreak of TSFCBDTW, otherwise known as The Search For CBD That Works, I’ve prepared this short guide.
First, CBD is legal in all states because it is not psychoactive. Meaning it will not get you high. Yeah, I know it comes from the marijuana plant, but they tease out the helpful molecules and leave the stuff that gets you jiggety behind. CVS and Walgreens sell straight CBD in some areas.
Some states have legalized THC, which is the weed stoners know and love. As well as those with many conditions that qualify for medical marijuana. You get the pain and nausea relief and a side of high.
The unscientific research, meaning it is not sanctioned by the FDA, seems to indicate that a blend of both THC and CBD will hit the sweet spot if you are looking for relief from pain, nausea, anxiety and a host of other ills. But how much of either? Aye, there’s the rub. As in some creams and oils, or tinctures, capsules, edibles, vapes and the many other legal and available forms of CBD.
